As the Ottawa Senators season limps – mercifully – to a close, the old saying about not being able to tell the players without a program comes to mind. For those who might have lost or forgotten the incoming names and/or numbers after the string of trades, the firing of Guy Boucher and the appointment of Marc Crawford as interim head coach, a re-set is necessary. Noticeable by his speed and offensive flair is new No. 10 Anthony Duclair. He is, in many ways, the most compelling 23-year-old in the NHL. Now on his fifth team in five seasons, this could very well be the left winger’s last kick at staying in the big leagues. Seven minutes into Thursday’s game, Duclair sprinted over the New York Islanders blue line, twisted and turned along the boards to create space before passing to Ben Harpur, whose shot was then deflected by Brady Tkachuk to tie the game 1-1-, on March 6 2019.
